Your Itinerary
Saturday
| Following your home pick up you will join your Chandlers luxury coach and travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Our journey continues through France to Metz & our overnight hotel for dinner, bed & breakfast. |
|
|
|
|
Sunday
| After breakfast our journey continues into Switzerland past Basle & Lake Lucerne before going through the St. Gotthard Tunnel and onto Lake Maggiore. Travelling around the lake we cross into Italy and onto Stresa and our lake side hotel. |
|
|
|
|
Monday to Thursday
We have included the following excursions.
*This morning we take a boat to Isola Bella with its Baroque Palace and majestic terraced gardens, an idyllic location on the lake. In the afternoon our boat takes us to the smaller Isola Dei Pescatori, a romantic ancient fisherman’s island with its narrow alleyways and lakeside cafes.
*A shorter excursion today past Arona before going to the medieval village of Orta, the little road train will transport you to this tranquil village on the shores of the scenic Lake Orta, why not treat yourself to lunch in one of the many cafes. In the afternoon we visit Villa Taranto, which has one of the most enchanting gardens in Europe.
*Today we travel to Lake Como for a visit to Como town on the shores of the lake and wonderful drive along the shores of the lake.
*Day at leisure in Stresa, perhaps take the cable car to the Alpine Gardens with spectacular views over the Lake.

Friday
| After breakfast we must depart for our return journey to Metz, and our overnight hotel, but not before a wonderful scenic journey over The Simplon Pass into Switzerland and travel past Interlaken & Lake Thun. |

|
|
|
Saturday
| Travel back to Calais for our sailing to Dover, returning to Westbury late evening. After a memorable holiday in Lake Maggiore, your taxi will be waiting to return you home. |
