Harrogate is a beautiful floral spa town with it’s manicured gardens, Victorian Pump Room, Royal Baths, and heritage railway. In addition, the wonderful scenery of Yorkshire is on the doorstep so this holiday provides a taste of both town and country. Our traditional Victorian hotel is set in its own 5 acres of grounds offering a peaceful haven from the busy town. Built in 1840, the hotel retains a quintessential elegance and style to this very day, from the superb bar to the atmospheric atrium style restaurant.
Monday We collect you from your home and take you to join your tour coach travelling to Harrogate, making suitable comfort stops on the journey. Arriving at the Old Swan Hotel in the late afternoon with time to get settled before dinner.
Tuesday Today you can enjoy a circular tour through the picturesque Yorkshire Dales scenery with a chance to admire the Ribblehead Viaduct on the way to the lovely town of Hawes, which is also home to the Wensleydale Creamery, made famous by Wallace & Gromit. After a break here we will continue to Leyburn for an authentic heritage railway trip on the Wensleydale Railway to Leeming Bar, before returning to the hotel.
Wednesday –After a leisurely breakfast you will have some free time to explore Harrogate this morning, before we board the coach to travel over to Skipton. Where you will have some free time before boarding a canal cruise down the Leeds and Liverpool canal.
Thursday A day to discover the spa town of Harrogate, renowned for its floral beauty. We include a visit to the amazing RHS Garden at Harlow Carr, which is ablaze with colour and interest all year-round.
Friday After a final breakfast in the hotel we will board the coach and begin the journey back to Wiltshire, making suitable comfort stops on the way.

The Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate
The Old Swan Hotel stands in the centre of the lovely town of Harrogate, in Yorkshire, and is famed as being Agatha Christie’s hiding place during her disappearance in 1926. Bedrooms are stylishly furnished and the public areas include the Library restaurant, the Wedgwood Room and the lounge bar. All bedrooms are en suite and have satellite television telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee facilities. The hotel has a lift.
