Sit back, relax and watch the world slip gently by as you cruise the Danube in style. We pass through four countries and visit three capital cities on this stylish and relaxing cruise. Being the second-longest river on the continent there is plenty to see and do, with included excursions to a number of UNESCO World Heritage sites.


Saturday – This morning we will collect you from home as we travel to our included Channel Crossing before continuing down towards our overnight stop in Germany.

Sunday – Embark in Passau – Melk
Today, we make our way to Passau and join our ship the MS Serenity as we set sail and cruise towards Melk. We will be greeted with a welcome reception on arrival before having time to relax before dinner

Monday – Melk to Vienna
Today, we visit and have a guided tour of one of the most famous monastic houses in Austria, Melk Abbey. The restored building stands proudly above the Danube Valley, it is one of the biggest and breathtaking European Baroque ensembles. The remainder of the day will be spent on board as we sail to the Austrian capital, Vienna, for an overnight stop.

Tuesday – Vienna – Budapest
Waking up in Vienna, we have the whole day to enjoy the city and its historic buildings and attractions. We get our bearings through a 1 hour walking tour of the city. This will give you a chance to take in some of the major attractions that this capital city has to offer.  In the afternoon, we will enjoy a visit to Schönbrunn Palace, where we will have a guided tour of this magnificent building before having free time to visit and see extensive the park and gardens that the palace is home too. In the evening we cast off and cruise towards the Hungarian capital of Budapest.

Wednesday – Budapest
Spend time in one of the world’s most beautiful cities and explore both sides of Hungary’s capital – traditional “Buda” and cosmopolitan “Pest”. We have an included guided tour of Budapest to become acquainted with the city and then spend some time at leisure exploring the many delights Budapest has to offer including the Fishermans Bastion. In the evening we enjoy a visit to traditional Folklore Show, before we return to the ship.

Thursday – Budapest – Bratislava
We have a morning to enjoy a Puszta Horse Show before rejoining the ship for lunch whilst setting sail for Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia.

Friday – Bratislava – Dürnstein
We will arrive in Bratislava early in the morning so will be able to start exploring straight after breakfast. This historic city has a relaxed atmosphere and is compact, therefore is easy to be explored on foot which we will do via a 2 and a half hour walking tour of the city giving us the chance to see major attractions such as St Martins Cathedral and the Presidential Palace.  Later in the day we will set sail towards Dürnstein.

Saturday – Dürnstein – Passau
is famed for the ruins of the castle that once imprisoned Richard the Lionheart. Take a stroll through around the town and admire the pretty courtyards and buildings. This evening there will be a 5-course farewell dinner.

Sunday – Disembark in Passau
This morning we will disembark from the ship and begin the journey to our overnight hotel.

Monday – We continue our journey home from our overnight stop, making our way back to England via our included Channel Crossings.




MS Serenity

This 4-star ship has accommodation for 190 passengers, split over three decks, which are all accessible by a lift. All cabins have outside views, climate control, hair dryers, TV, safe and ample storage space. This ship facilities include a restaurant, bar and sun deck.

Upper Deck Supplement - £210.00 (limited availability)
These cabins are located on the upper deck and boast a French balcony.

Middle Deck Supplement - £105.00 (limited availability)
These cabins are on the deck above the lower deck and feature large sliding windows.


Melk Abbey There is a short walk to the entrance of Melk Abbey for anybody who walks at a slow pace this could take approximately 10 minutes.

Budapest There will be free time at Fisherman’s Bastion which is located on a hill and cobbled area. As well as this there will be a chance to visit Gellert Hill to see the illuminated city, this is a 10-minute walk up an incline to reach.
