Autumn just wouldn’t be the same without a trip to the world-famous Blackpool Illuminations. These Illuminations have been a major part of Blackpool’s attraction since 1879 when they were described as ‘Artificial Sunshine’, and they have been a guiding light for visitors to the resort ever since. With over 3 million visitors every year, it is just as popular as it ever was.

Enjoy the day at leisure in Blackpool, the only British seaside resort to boast three piers.

A full day tour to the Lake District. We visit Bowness on Lake Windermere, where there will be ample time to explore; you may even wish to take a lake cruise (not included).

During your stay you will have a chance to board a tram from outside the hotel which will take you down through the spectacular ‘Illuminations’ on the seafront.
