Dive deep into the Belgian Ardennes on this fabulous tour. From our base in the history-steeped city of Charleroi, our itinerary captures the flavour of this enchanting yet often overlooked region.

YOUR HOLIDAY WILL INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING

• We will collect you from your home and travel to Kent for our daytime crossing to Calais. We will then continue our journey into Belgium and the city of Charleroi where our hotel is located.
• We visit the historic village of Spontin for a 1-hour train ride on Le Chemin de Fer du Bocq Railway, travelling in a 1950’s railcar. We follow the ‘Luxembourg Rail Line’ along Ardennes picturesque Bocq Valley with a guide providing commentary on the way.
• We visit Wallonia’s capital of Namur and have time to explore this small city with its 19th century citadel, museums and shop-filled old town.
• We have a scenic drive to La Roche-en-Ardennes, the ‘Gem of Ardennes’, with it’s ruined castle, quaint streets and shops. To see more about this city, click here.
• Enjoy a visit to the Brasserie Chouffe Brewery in Archouffe for a guided tour complete with tasting.
• We have a 45-minute river cruise from Dinant to Anseremme, admiring a host of beautiful riverside sites on the way.

• Final day - After breakfast, we depart the hotel and journey back to Calais for our ferry crossing back to the UK and onward to home
